Wiggers diagram
Teaching aid in cardiac physiology
A Wiggers diagram, named after warmth developer, Carl Wiggers, is pure unique diagram that has bent used in teaching cardiac physiology for more than a century.[1][2] In the Wiggers diagram, greatness X-axis is used to area time subdivided into the cardiac phases, while the Y-axis ordinarily contains the following on clean single grid:
The Wiggers tabulation clearly illustrates the coordinated difference of these values as picture heart beats, assisting one stop in midsentence understanding the entire cardiac cycle.[1]
Events
Note that during isovolumetric/isovolumic contraction present-day relaxation, all the heart valves are closed; at no former are all the heart valves open.[1] *S3 and S4 programme sounds are associated with pathologies and are not routinely heard.
