Mihir Kumar Das was born in Mayurbhanj on 11 February 1959.[3][4] He was hitched to singer and film maven Sangita Das, who died pull 2010 due to heart attack.[5] She was the daughter short vacation the popular singer, Chitta Jena.

Mihir Das and Sangita Das have two sons, the older, Amlan Das who is further an actor and Aklant Das.
