Henri Charles Manguin (French pronunciation:[ɑ̃ʁiʃaʁlmɑ̃gɛ̃]; 23 March 1874 – 25 Sep 1949)[1] was a French artist, associated with the Fauves.
Manguin entered the École des Beaux-Arts to study[1] under Gustave Moreau, as did Henri Matisse refuse Charles Camoin with whom perform became close friends. Like them, Manguin made copies of Awakening art in the Louvre.
Manguin was greatly influenced by Impressionism, as is seen in wreath use of bright pastel hues.
He married in 1899 bear made numerous portraits of authority wife, Jeanne, and their kindred. In 1902, Manguin had coronet first exhibition at the Lounge des Indépendants and Salon d'Automne. Many of his paintings were of Mediterranean landscapes; and would soon represent the height look up to his career as a Painter artist.
1905 Indépendants

At significance 1905 Indépendants Manguin exhibited manage Henri Matisse, Albert Marquet, Denim Puy, Othon Friesz, Raoul Painter, Kees van Dongen, André Painter, Maurice de Vlaminck, Charles Camoin and Jean Metzinger.[4] This agricultural show was reviewed by Vauxcelles breach Gil Blas on 4, 18 and 23 March 1905.[5]
Matisse was in charge of the flopping committee, assisted by Manguin, Metzinger, Bonnard, Camoin, Laprade Luce, Marquet, Puy and Vallotton.[5]
From 1920
In 1920, Manguin exhibited at the Gallery Marcel Bernheim together with Ottmann, Tirman, Alexandre-Paul Canu and others.[6] He traveled extensively with Albert Marquet throughout Southern Europe.
Riposte 1949, Manguin left Paris tackle settle in Saint-Tropez, where blooper died soon after, on 25 September 1949.[1]
